FIELD: sugar production applicable in purification of process solutions as juices, syrups, clarification of runoff syrups, brown sugars and cane raw sugar. SUBSTANCE: method includes liming in clarifier and carbonation of limed solution in the first straight-flow saturator. Then solution is supplied to counterflow saturator and withdrawn from it is carbonated sugar-containing solution to the second straight-flow saturator. Carbonated solution is recirculated to counterflow saturator for mixing with solution supplied from the first straight-flow saturator. Final carbonation of mixture is carried out to attain pH equal to 8.5-9.5 with subsequent filtering of solution. Liming of solution is performed to attain its alkalinity of 0.8-1.0% CaO to product weight. Recirculation of carbonated solution is carried out 3-5 times. Spent saturation gases from counterflow and the second straight-flow saturators are combined and directed for mixing with fresh saturation gas. EFFECT: higher saturation efficiency and reduced consumption of limestone and coal for its roasting. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
