FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting of forced reciprocating movement of journal and bearing relative to each other by applying a.c. signal to accelerometer components so that under pre-test conditions translational movement of bearing relative to journal and oscillatory angular motion of journal relative to bearing are conducted simultaneously by supplying a.c. single-frequency signal power from single source to field winding of support exciting electromagnet and to compensating coil of power converter; turn-on current of accelerometer components, phase shift between supply voltage of electromagnet field winding and compensating coil are selected so as to obtain minimum drift of accelerometer output signal. Polarity and phase selection is not performed in the course of operation. EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy. 3 dwg
