FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating larch saw dust by extracting with water under room temperature during 1.5 h taking raw materials and extracting agent in 1:5-1:7 proportion. Filtered water extract is concentrated by evaporation to reach 1/2 of the initial volume, cooled and mixed with 1.5 times as large volume of acetone under continuous stirring, adding 0.2-0.3% of sodium chloride (with respect to water extract quantity). Supernatant liquid is decanted from the precipitated arabinogalactane. Arabinogalactane precipitate is rinsed with acetone and dried. EFFECT: simplified and accelerated process of arabinogalactane production without loss in quality of high purity end product. 1 tbl
