FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: method of roasting of dry-press process clay products based on argillaceous raw material consists in the fact that in the first stage clay products are heated to 100 to 180 C for 0.5-1.0 h and kept at this temperature for 1.0 to 1.5 h, and in the second stage clay products are heated to 380 to 750 C for 0.6 to 1.5 h and kept at this temperature for in both stages being 4.6 h. EFFECT: decreased temperature of thermal treatment of dry-press process clay products, reduced mean density and thermal conductivity of clay products at their stable strength characteristics. 1 tbl
