METHOD FOR LIQUIDATING EARTHY PIT-ACCUMULATOR PROVIDED FOR WASTES FROM DRILLING Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: environmental protection. SUBSTANCE: pit excavating, erection anti-filtering screen, backfill the pit-accumulator with wastes from drilling, separating the wastes into thickened and clarified phases with generation of upper solid layer, applying impermeable screen and backfilling the pit-accumulator with mineral ground. Closed narrow trench is excavated on outer side of pit perimeter before backfilling the pit-accumulator with wastes of drilling. Then the pit is backfilled with anti- filtering material (spent mud solidified in the trench with consolidating additions), forming body of curtain of "wall in ground" type.
