FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: utilization of drilling waste, which is solid phase from separation of drilling sludge and spent drilling fluid into solid and liquid phases, comprises stirring drilling waste with clay loam at weight ratio (30-60):(40-70) and heat treatment of preliminarily granulated resulting raw mixture in rotating drum oven at temperature not exceeding 1100оС. Liquid phase may be reused for preparing drilling mud. Heat treatment is carried out by using associated oil gas. At outlet of rotating drum oven, dust-gas mixture is caught to separate dust for additional incorporation into raw mixture.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of utilizing drilling waste.
