FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing a sample between two polarizers at an angle of 90 degrees and rotating them relative to the system optical axis. Dependance of the optical signal defined as the intensity of passed light in photometric examination or the image in case of microscopic examination on linear polarization rotation angle relative to the sample is investigated. In case of microscopic examination the received images are superimposed one over another, for example, by means of an image processing computer systems. The resulting image is undergone to the following quantitative analysis. In case of photometric examination a polarization curve is built. The area under the curve depends only on specific share of active optic phase. The curve shape depends only on the type (texture) of the active optic phase, relative disposition of its parts and brings information on the sample morphologic structure. EFFECT: high accuracy in determining the structure of anisotropic biologic liquids. 3 cl, 5 dwg
