FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: conductors located between give-up and take-in devices are brought together in bundle, are moved with constant speed and are squeezed at two twisting points placed at some distance from each other, torques are applied at two other points situated between twisting points and conductors are rotated relative to their common axis with same angular speed. Distance between first twisting point and second point of application of second torque is filled with twisted conductors. After this angular rotation speed is increased in steps till this distance is filled with twisted conductors again. Then angular rotation speed is reduced in steps to initial value for the time of liberation of distance from twisted conductors and torque is removed from first point when mentioned distance is filled with twisted conductors again. Simultaneously additional twisting point is formed at end section of this part facing second point of application of torque. EFFECT: reduced transition sections when twisting direction changes. 2 cl, 9 dwg
