FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this process involves protection of electric heating device against overheating with the aid of irreversible N.C. safety device by break of series power supply circuit of heating element. Resistance of electric circuit parallel to heating element is changed by jump from bigger valve to value at which current flowing through irreversible safety device results in its break when temperature rises to predetermined limiting value. Equipment for implementation of process has irreversible N. C. safety device connected in series with heating element. Thermal resistive key element is additionally connected in parallel to terminal of heating element. Irreversible safety device is manufactured in the form of current fuse.
