FIELD: electrical engineering; overtemperature protection of electric heating appliances in case of their faulty controller; for example, electric irons. SUBSTANCE: device having case with through hole, heat-sensing element in the form of fusible link, contact system built up of fixed and movable flexible contacts with fixed contact secured on case, spring-loaded rod joined heat-sensing element and placed inside case hole; in addition, it is provided with holder and its movable contact is flexible and secured on case just like fixed contact so that its nonworking part is arranged under rod in a spaced relation and its heat-sensing element is installed on case bottom flush with its outer surface. EFFECT: improved reliability of thermal protection. 4 cl, 6 dwg
