FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: excavating part of the wheel excavator has dippers, whose side walls carry detachable blades with a tooth. Detachable bits are mounted in slots made in the dipper bottom. The detachable bits are made in the form of a wedge, whose bases are sharpened at an angle of 20 to 35 deg. An edge is positioned on the base surface. The edge surface is stepped with the growth of the edge height in the direction from the nose towards the tail section, and the edge front and side walls are inclined towards the base at angle of 60 to 70 deg. Besides, intermediate bits are installed between the dippers, their side walls are furnished with detachable blade with a tooth.
