FIELD: earth moving equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in designed and making of buckets of excavators intended for digging rocks. Self-penetrating tooth of excavator bucket has working section with upper and lower working surfaces and shank. Longitudinal axis of tooth working section is tilted downwards and intersects longitudinal axis of shank, angle θ between indicated longitudinal axes being from 3 to 12 deg. It is expedient to make longitudinal stiffening rib on lower surface of tooth and make working section from end of tooth to its seating place in form of wedge with taper angle γ between working surfaces equal to 0-15 deg. Angle β between opposite surfaces of tooth seating place can be smaller that corresponding angle α between seating surfaces of bucket front wall by 1.5-2.0 deg. EFFECT: improved reliability of excavator bucket in operation. 3 cl, 4 dwg
