FIELD: materials handling machinery. SUBSTANCE: cutting lip for buckets of heavy pit excavators is designed for breaking the rock. Bucket lip has teeth with cross section area increasing over working length. Lower surface of each tooth is made wavy. Longitudinal stiffening ribs are found on upper and lower surfaces of teeth. Cutting lip is provided with bucket edge guards of yoke-shaped section straddling the edge of bucket. EFFECT: provision of cutting lip with teeth self-sharpening in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
