FIELD: instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: basic load is redistributed from face part of operator to helmet part. Objectives with longer focal lengths may be used in the device, which results to more distant range of operation. Dichroic mirrors are introduced into the device to improve capabilities of the device, when observing landscape through image intensifier and without it. Device has input objectives, connected in series with image intensifier tube, eye-pieces, moreover, the objectives are focused with application of projection system to the left and to the right parts of photocathode of the image intensifier. The latter is mounted onto the helmet of operator and is turned with its photocathode at the direction being rare to operator's eyes. Flexible fiber bunches are arranged regularly and are mounted between eye-pieces and image intensifier screen. The bundles project image of the left and the right parts of image intensifier screen to operator's eye through eye-pieces and dichroic mirrors. EFFECT: improved convenience of operation. 3 cl, 1 dwg
