FIELD: petrochemical industry. SUBSTANCE: contact device uses a base with right angled slit notches closed with the valves surface forming vertical side clearances between the base and valves surfaces, and passages for liquid phase. The right-angled notches on the base are staggered with a space of shift of adjacent rows equal at least to the notch width; the ends of notches of adjacent rows are positioned on the same straight line, and their angular sections used to form links between rows are shaped. Besides, one of the walls of valve guides is made solid on the side of run-on of liquid phase, and the opposite wall or guide is furnished with a window or slot for passage of gas phase. In addition each valve can be furnished with notches with a stretching to increase contact surface. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 6 dwg
