FIELD: manufacture of filter media. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacture of porous material consists in knitting of knitted nets, application of discrete metal particles to the net, whose amount is 10 to 90% of net weight with discrete metal particles, forming of pack of nets, deforming of it and sintering in nonoxidizing atmosphere at a temperature of 0.9 to 1.15 of the melting point of discrete particles. Discrete metal particles are applied to the net with variation of percentage of discrete particles and knitted nets over the area of nets, and pack of nets is formed from nets with different percentage of discrete particles and knitted nets. Pack of nets is deformed during sintering under load equal to 1 to 10,000 N. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 5 cl, 1 dwg
