FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: wear-resistant product consists of carrying metal base, wear-resistant member containing powdery refractory material and metal impregnating compound with melting point below that of base metal. The product additionally has crystallized layer of alloy of impregnating metal with base metal located on the interface of joint of wear-resistant member with carrying metal base. Method for manufacturing wear-resistant product including application to surface of carrying metal base of layer of powdery refractory material, joining with base by its compaction, heat treatment and simultaneous impregnation with melt of metal whose melting point is below that of base metal. Heat treatment is conducted for a time required for formation on interface of wear-resistant member and carrying metal base of crystallized layer from alloy of impregnating metal with metal of base joining wear-resistant members with carrying metal base. Impregnation with metal melt of compacted powdery refractory material is carried out by melting of powder of impregnating metal in mixture of powdery refractory material. In process of heat treatment self-propagating high-temperature synthesis is carried out. Powder of impregnating metal is taken in the form of mixture of powders of metals forming intermetallic compound in process of synthesis reaction. Compaction of layer of powdery refractory material is effected by sintering of refractory particles of this material. Subjected to self-propagating high-temperature synthesis is mixture of carbide-forming metal and carbon, and impregnation with metal melt of layer of compacted powdery refractory material is carried out in process of synthesis of powder mixture of carbide-forming metal, carbon and impregnating metal used in the form of nickel-chromium alloy.
