SUBSTANCE: method of making transport vehicle wheels comprises steps of deforming an initial blank by two transitions; at first transition forming a semifinished product in the form of a cone sleeve by bending the upset blank, bad been arranged in its initial position over a bottom part of a die set, and then performing a reverse extrusion of the blank for making a wall of a rim portion and a bottom of a boss portion, having a variable thickness; performing the second transition in a die set, having a vertically connectable die, by reducing the semifinished product, had been made, and by combination-type extrusion with formation of the rim portion and the boss portion; forming an opening in a central part of the boss portion and then performing heat treatment and working operations.
