FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: within this method metal is fed into crystallizer from auxiliary ladle through a casting nozzle, chamber of excess pressure is created above metal meniscus in crystallizer. Pressure maintained on metal meniscus in crystallizer is equal to ferrostatic pressure of liquid metal column. Liquid metal column height is equal to that in a space from metal meniscus in crystallizer to its meniscus in auxiliary ladle. Ingot is drawn out of crystallizer and crystallizer is set in reciprocating motion. In this case slag mixture is fed into excess pressure chamber in the process of casting. Slag mixture layer thickness is maintained even. Metal is fed into crystallizer with linear speed equal to 2,0-25,0 of linear speed of ingot drawing. Slag mixture is fed into excess chamber under pressure not less than ferrostatic pressure of metal column above its meniscus in crystallizer. Volume of excess pressure chamber in the process of casting is maintained unchanged. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
