SUBSTANCE: icebreaker leading the transport ship makes turn and runs in opposite direction at distance from the ship being cleared and after new turn, icebreaker start chipping the ship on parallel course, mainly at distance between sides of 10 to 30 m; run in opposite direction is effected windward relative to ice-bound ship at acute angle relative to wind direction, mainly on by-the-wind course; turn to parallel course is effected after crossing the vector of the wind acting on the stern of the ice-bound ship.
