FIELD: pharmaceutical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention involves new chemical compound of unknown structure, - aqueous-glycerol complex, (2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-ortho-titranate hydrochloride, empirical formula is , molecular mass is 40209, density of 25% aqueous solution is from 1.033 to 1.058, viscosity is from 1.40 to 2.80. Titanium content is from 2.15 to 2.80. Chloride-ion content is from 0.7 to 1.0. Complex is prepared by interaction of glycerol with butyl-ortho-titanate at the mole ratio 12: 1, respectively, followed by distillation of butanol under vacuum at temperature up to 105 C for 8 h (not less) followed by air bubbling through the reaction mass at temperature below 30 C, water and hydrochloric acid addition up to pH 2.2-3.0, mass holding at temperature below 95 C for 2 h, not above. Also, gel-containing pharmaceutical composition containing active substance is proposed which contains the compound described above as carrier. Active substance can be represented as any medicinal agent or biologically active substance at the following ratio of components, wt.-% active substance 0.01-10.0, and carrier the rest. Composition can also contain diluter taken from the group of organic or inorganic compounds, such as Vaseline, lanolin, water. Carrier 25 wt. -% not less, and diluter the rest.
