FIELD: metalloorganic compounds. SUBSTANCE: method involves the reaction of glycerol with butyl-ortho-titanate at their mole ratio = 11:1 followed by distilling off butanol formed and keeping reaction mass under vacuum at 120 C for 2 hr, not above, dissolving in water at pH = 2-2.5 and keeping at heating up to 90-100 C for 2 hr, not above. Product of unknown structure is synthesized, empirical formula is Ti-[-O-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2(OH)]4•8C3H8O3•47H2O. Product has light-yellow color, gel-like, sweet taste and does not contain any impurities.
