FIELD: internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: exhaust gas flow of internal combustion engine moves in device with no change in direction in single jet at velocity higher than that in supply pipe. Jet passes several dampening chambers in succession which are connected to one another and to intake pipe and outlet branch pipe diffuser tapering by coaxial single nozzles. To ensure more effective use of device volume, volumes of its individual chambers (in way of motion of jet) may correspond to series of reducing numbers. To reduce bubbling losses inside device, jet may move in chamber via pipes which have funnelled openings at the beginning which make jet get in contact with volume of each pipe only over narrow circular slot at end of each pipe. EFFECT: reduced level of noise; enhanced efficiency of gas exchange processes and consequently economical efficiency of internal combustion engine; reduced amount of closing of gas distributing members; increased duration of suction and exhaust strokes which additionally increases power and enhances economical efficiency of internal combustion engine. 3 cl, 2 dwg
