FIELD: catalytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product: catalytic oxide composition of the formula (I) MeO-ZrO2 where Me: Ca, Sr, Ba, Y, Ce; MeO composition is 2-10 mol. and ZrO2 the rest; or the formula (II) Al2O3-SrO-ZrO2 consisting of, mol. Al2O3-25,0-50,0; SrO 2.5-3.8; ZrO2-47,5-71,2. 47.5-71.2. Compositions of the formula (I) is prepared by coprecipitation of complexes, or mixing for formula (II) followed by stages of forming, drying and calcination at 700-1000 C. These catalysts provide 100% degree of nitrogen oxides conversion at the temperature of reductive reaction with hydrocarbons in oxidizing atmosphere.
