FIELD: catalysts, catalyst carriers, methods of their production and methods of cleaning from NOx, of exhaust gases, including flue gases of thermal power stations, automobile exhaust gases; and production of nitric acid. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes composition of catalyst for cleaning of exhaust gases from nitrogen oxides by catalytic reduction with hydrocarbons in oxidizing atmosphere. Catalyst composition includes, n Me1 m Me2O/carrier, where Me1 is noble metal; Me2 is oxide of transition metal, with n= 0-2.0, m=0-6.0 provided n and m are not equal to 0 simultaneously. Carrier presents low-temperature cube modification of zirconium dioxide stabilized by oxides of calcium, strontium, barium or their mixture in amount of no less than 1.0 mas.% with specific surface no below of 160 sq.m/g. Noble metal is used in the form of silver, platinum, or their mixture. Oxide of transition metal is used in the form of oxide of copper, cobalt, nickel or their mixture. Methods of catalyst and catalyst carrier production and cleaning of exhaust gases from nitrogen oxides are also described in the invention.
