FIELD: oxidation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: alkali-earth and transitional element oxide-based catalyst is provided to oxidize hazardous emissions from combustion of fuels and other carbon-containing substances. Catalyst has perovskite structure and is supplemented by structure-forming ceramics based on zirconium oxide, zirconium and aluminum oxides, or zirconium, aluminum, and silicon oxides. Catalyst may also be supplemented by IV period transitional element oxides, or by alkali- earth element oxides, or by both, their structure being different from that of perovskite.
