FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: isobutylene is isolated from hydrocarbon mixtures by countercurrent liquid-phase contacting parental mixture with water in column in the presence of acid heterogeneous catalyst. Unreacted hydrocarbons were removed from the top column, and a mixture of hydrocarbons and tert. -butane is removed from the middle-reaction zone. Hydrocarbons were separated and recovered to column. From the bottom part of column aqueous solution of tert.-butanol is recovered which is decomposed. Parental hydrocarbon mixture is fed from the bottom of extraction zone, and aqueous solution of tert.-butanol from the bottom of reaction zone is divided for two flows at the ratio from 4:1 to 1:4. One of that is fed to the bottom extraction zone, and then its median part is recovered from the column vat, and other flow is fed to the unit and/or of tert.-butanol decomposition, and water is recovered to the upper of extraction zone. Method ensures to increase tert.-butanol output in hydrocarbon phase and decrease tert.-butanol aqueous solution by 1.3-5.3-fold feeding to the further processing that ensures to decrease energy consumption.
