FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: mould is casted through syphon into expendable mould. Then it is removed, cooled and its upper part is warmed. Before mould is warmed and casted with killed steel, at least five times it is casted with rimming steel at initial temperature of 25-75 C. Further mould is cooled to mentioned temperature after ingot is removed. EFFECT: improved manufacturing process.
