FIELD: transport; safety seat belts. SUBSTANCE: in sat belt tensioning devices of automobiles in which belt lock is arranged on seat and tensioning device acts on belt lock, sensitive to vehicle motion sensory mass movably installed on vehicle seat operates also if seat decelerates relative to vehicle body. To prevent false operation of device, sensory mass is kept locked until vehicle deceleration reaches the first preset value which is less than the second value of deceleration at which belt tensioning device is started owing to displacement of sensory mass. If first deceleration value of vehicle is exceeded, sensory mass gets unlocked. Unlocking is provided by use of separate deceleration pickup secured directly on vehicle body, for instance, under seat. EFFECT: prevention of false operation of device. 11 cl, 4 dwg
