FIELD: transport engineering; safety seat belts with automatic belt retraction locking mechanism. SUBSTANCE: mechanism has fitting and lever located square to direction of belt strap movement at rest. To prepare tensioning mechanism for operation lever is passed between bottom of fitting and support part secured on fitting to form loop of belt strap. Design unit consisting of release mechanism and force limiter is placed on path of pull cable connected with lever. Unit consists of guide tube resting on automobile body and converter tube telescopically arranged in guide tube to move in guide tube till thrusting against stop on guide tube bottom. After tight tensioning of belt limitation of force and conversion of energy are provided owing to plastic deformation of material. EFFECT: improved safety. 9 cl, 8 dwg
