FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: multirow air ionizer has metal grids placed in parallel and coaxially with reference to one another. Adjacent grids are charged by unlike charges. Grids are produced flexible for curving of their surfaces under action of flow of air sucked in by working engine. Movement of electric discharge occurs over volume of ionizer which results in maximum transition of oxygen into ozone and remaining oxygen is well ionized thanks to action of electric field of grids and ultra-violet radiation of discharge which slightly enhances chemical activity. Ionizer can find use anywhere where fuel-burning gears are used to reduce toxicity of combustion products or to save fuel due to its more complete burning.
