FIELD: production of ozone and air mixture directly from atmospheric air without any preparation or drying of it for wide range of temperatures and humidity. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to design of small-sized ozone generators of module type. Portable ozone generator is intended for use in domestic or commercial purposes, for purification and disinfection of living and production spaces, storehouses and storages against vermin, bacteria and microbes, in technological installations of water preparation, for treatment of liquids and gaseous atmosphere, in systems for preparation and preservation of organic compounds, for fermentation of mixed feed and grass, for removal of odors and for decoloration. Generator is made of grounded enclosure in the form of tube, high-voltage electrode maintaining flame form of discharge, system feeding air to ionization zone and D C high-voltage source. Main component of generator is N-beam star-shaped high-voltage system which is at negative potential of such magnitude that there exist streamers i. e. flame is on in gap " corona-forming electrode-outer screen " and discharge current from each irregularity amounts to approximately 0.5 mA at average intensity of electric field E=U/h≅ 5 kV. Value of gap in active zone should be not more than 10-11 mm to generate stable flame discharge. Energy consumption approaches 15-16 W with use of rectifier or to 10-12 W with use of pulse power supply source in generator. In contrast with other traditional designs given ozonizer makes it possible to produce entire range of negative ions of ozone, most active being ozone dioxide, in addition to monatomic ozone.
