FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: crystallizer for continuous casting of metal has broad and narrow working walls made up along radius and fixed on supporting plates. Walls form a funnel-shaped section of crystallizer working space in its upper part. Broad working wall positioned on short radius has constant radius along crystallizer working space breadth and length. The opposite broad working wall positioned on a long radius has curvilinear section. Longitudinal generatrix of curvilinear section from crystallizer upper side over perimeter are positioned tangentially to working surface of this wall with constant radius.
