SCROLL SAW EXTENSION TO THE ELECTRIC DRILL Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: extension has eccentric shaft 4 with eccentric-counterweight 5 connected through crankshaft 6 with crank 7 of slide 8. Saw blade 16 is rigidly fixed in the slide. The housing consists of hull 1 and rotary head 2 whose turn together with the transportation of hull 1 in the transverse plane relative to bearing platform 21 allows to cut at the angle up to 45. The extension is equipped with a dismountable bracket for sawing out the curvilinear contours of pieces. Both the saw blades of different lengths and the heating wire can be used. The reciprocal displacement of slide 8 ensures the working and idle motions to the saw blade. If the dismountable bracket is used, the blade return is ensured by the preliminary compressed C-shaped laminar spring. The innovation concerns the devices for the mechanical sawing apart of different materials as well as for sawing out the curvilinear contours of pieces, that is readjusted scroll saw extensions used together with the electric drill.
