FIELD: materials handling devices; hand-operated jacks. SUBSTANCE: screw jack has bearing structure, load-lifting member 1 with lug arranged in longitudinal slot 11 of bearing structure and coupled with screw 3 whose threaded part is located at the bottom and plain part rests, in its upper portion, on bearing structure. Jack has also turning mechanism which has horizontally arranged planetary gear train and bevel gear train, carrier rigidly coupled with screw, epicyclic gear rigidly coupled with bearing structure, central gear with axial hole accommodating plain portion of screw. Central gear is rigidly coupled with bevel gear which is located on plain portion of screw under sun gear and is engaged with bevel gear installed on horizontal shaft connected with handlebar. Bevel and planetary gear trains rest on supports installed on ends of plain portion of screw, and bearing structure is made in form of hollow cylinder with spherical surface in lower portion resting against spherical surface of additional support furnished with stop flange.
