FIELD: petroleum industry. SUBSTANCE: intermediate emulsion layer formed in the process of petroleum preparation is heated up to temperature 40 C (not below). Then addition containing 0.1-0.8 wt.-% nitrilotrimethylphosphonic acid and up to 100 wt.-% inhibited hydrochloric acid at concentration 22-24 wt.-% (3-20 vol.) and nonionogenic demulsifier at concentration 70-200 g/t were added successively to the emulsion layer followed by settling.
