SUBSTANCE: vertical steam-to-liquid heat exchanger, for instance, high pressure heater of steam turbine plant of steam power station or nuclear power station has heating steam condensate cooler 6 enclosed in special bowl 11 filled with condensate with constant level covering completely the housing of condensate cooler 6. Housing arranged under condensate level attains higher hydraulic tightness which precludes getting of steam inside housing of condensate cooler 6 and excludes steam drop erosive wear both of housing members and outer surface of coils.
