FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heat power engineering, in particular to low and high pressure heaters, and can be used in other industries that manufacture or use heat exchange equipment designed for the implementation of steam and condensate modes. Horizontal vapor-liquid heat exchanger has a partition between the pipes of the passes of the heat-transfer surface of the heated fluid, consisting of parts having different lengths. Use of a partition of this design eliminates filling the pipes located below with condensate and thereby improve the heat transfer, evenly distribute the steam flow through the sections with minimal hydraulic resistance and organize the discharge of steam condensate from the pipes of the heat-transfer surface of the first pass into a lower part of the body with a minimum speed.
EFFECT: improvement of the thermal efficiency and efficiency of the heat exchanger operation, simplification of the design, improvement of manufacturability, reduction in metal consumption and improved performance reliability.
