FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: pulse X-ray generator has high-voltage voltage source of 0.3-1.5 MV with pulse length 5·10-8-107s and peak power 1011-1012WtW from which voltage pulse is fed to diode gap. Cathode 2 of diode gap is fabricated in the form of disc which face facing anode 3 has ring protrusion which medium radius is related to distance cathode-anode and to electric parameters of diode by relationship I = 104·RV/d-vτ, where 1 is beam current, A; R is medium radius of cathode protrusion, cm; d is gap cathode-anode, cm; v is velocity of movement of electron plasma equal to (4-6)·106сm/s; τ is length of voltage pulse, s; V is voltage across diode gap, MV. In this case ratio R/d lies within interval 10-30 and width 1 of ring protrusion of cathode is numerically equal to value of Larmor radius. Pulse of high voltage forms electron beam in diode gap which is focused by inherent magnetic current field in discharge gap on foil of anode 3 into spot less than 1.0 mm. X-ray flux generated as a result of interaction of electron bean 5 with foil of anode hits input face of X-ray lens 7 and is transformed into poorly diverging (converging) beam. Each of X-ray radiation emerging across output of generator is used for various diagnostic purposes, predominantly in medicine. In the latter case lanthanum is used as material of fool of anode. EFFECT: enhanced operational stability and reliability. 3 cl, 1 dwg
