FIELD: miniature X-ray tubes for internal X-raying of tumor tissues in medicine and for internal radiography of complex mechanisms and devices in technology. SUBSTANCE: low- impedance X-ray tube, 12 mm in diameter and 24 mm in length, that functions to generate short pulses (1,5•10-10 in length) of soft rays with quanta energy ranging between 30 and 90 keV has metal case with anticathode and aperture for emitting X-radiation, cathode, and inner insulating member; anticathode is isolated from aperture and secured inside tube by means of two cylindrical rings provided with tooth and slot so that anticathode-to-cathode gap is within 1:20 to 1:5 ratio with respect to outer diameter of cathode. Insulating member may be ring-shaped. EFFECT: reduced length of pulses. 2 cl, 1 dwg
