FIELD: veterinary, particularly, methods of prevention and treatment of gastro-enteric diseases in newborn calves caused by opportunistic pathogenic microflora. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes intramuscularly administering biological curative-prophylactic preparation two times into newborn calves of one to ten days of age, using purified staphylococcic anatoxin as this biological preparation, and administering latter in dose of 1 to 2 ml for prophylactic purposes and dose of 2. 2.5 ml for treating disease. Another embodiment of disclosed invention is intramuscular one-shot administration of preparation into pregnant cows in dosage of 10 to 15 ml 35 to 15 days before calving or two-shot administration of drug 40 to 30 days prior to calving at certain intervals during 14 days.
