FIELD: catalytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: catalytic system for hydrochlorination of acetylene contains compound of metal of group VIII, preferably, compound of palladium or platinum in the amount of 1-200 m.mole/1 of catalytic system; additionally hydrochloride of amine of fat series with carbon atoms more than 8, preferable, C10-C20 with melting point higher than 25 C and organic solvent taken from aliphatic cycloaliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and their mixtures (solvent-to-amine hydrochloride volumetric ratio of 0.1-20). Offered catalyst system is used for hydrochlorination of acetylene at temperature from room one to 200 C to produce vinyl chloride monomer for production of polymer materials. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 3 tbl
