FIELD: processing of vanadium concentrate of alumina production. SUBSTANCE: method for processing of vanadium concentrate of alumina production consists in water treatment of vanadium concentrate to obtain vanadate solution and alkali metal phosphate, precipitation of phosphorus, separation and washing of formed precipitate from vanadium-containing solution, and separation of vanadium from vanadium-containing solution. Added to solution of vanadate and alkali metal phosphate prior to phosphorus precipitation is mineral acid up to pH 9.5-8.5 with subsequent holding for 0.5-2.0 h and separation of precipitate with impurities from cleaned vanadate- phosphate solution. Precipitated from the latter is phosphorus with initial concentration of 10-30 g/l of P2O5 with addition of magnesium sulfate and/or chloride proceeding from Mg:Mg: P2O5= 0,75-1,0 ratio of 0.75-1.0 at temperature of 70-95 C.
