SUBSTANCE: distance measurement technique involves radiation of radio signal by radar, reception of echo signal from object, multiple circulation of radio signal between radar and object followed by calculation of distance to object; in the process, self-modulated and self-excited oscillations are shaped from multiple circulating radio signal, self-modulated frequency is discriminated and calculated, distance to object is computed using formula given description of invention.
