SUBSTANCE: radar system of warning on train passage of traffic light uses interrogator and transponder radars (half-radars); each of them has an antenna, transceiver, threshold unit with a detector and brake switch on the train locomotive, and an ON/OFF switch of the half-radar on the traffic light. The interrogator and transponder half-radars are identical in design; the transceivers are built around a reflection-type microwave amplifier, using, for instance, a Gunn-effect diode, with a narrow-band low-frequency filter, for instance, acoustic surface-wave filter, series-connected to it; the acoustic surface-wave filter is tuned to frequency , where τз-magnitude of electromagnetic wave time lag (Co) between the train and traffic light at distance lo at warning (bracking); connected to the transceiver low-frequency filter are the command response path on the traffic light, and the threshold unit with the detector and brake switch - on the train.
