FIELD: system using reflected electromagnetic field in visible region spectrum. SUBSTANCE: device has light-emitting unit 1 whose radiation in the form of beam is aimed at glass 3 cockpit 2. Device is also provided with standard 4 mounted on outer surface of glass 3 and covering part of surface of this glass illuminated by light-emitting unit 1. Standard 4 functions to simulate ice on external surface of glass 8. Provision is made for comparative visual assessment of the condition of external surface of glass 3 exposed to atmosphere. EFFECT: improved validity of check results when inspecting flying vehicles for ice formation dangerous to vehicle when flying at night. 2 dwg
