FIELD: electromechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: butt-end electrical machine has frame 1 accommodating toroidal stator core with winding 4 and rotor also provided with toroidal core 9 carrying winding 13 and rim 8. Trapezoidal members 3, 10 of toothed portion on butt-end surfaces are set up of alternating U- and L-shaped different-length members and fixed in position on insulated cores of stator and rotor by means of insulated rings 6, 11 attached, respectively to stator frame 1 and to rotor rim 8; ring 6 securing rotor teeth also functions to secure end portions of stator winding 4; rotor winding 13 is secured by additional rings 14 also attached to rotor rim.
