FIELD: separating materials. SUBSTANCE: diaphragm apparatus consists of housing separated by longitudinal and lateral baffles into sections. The lateral baffles are made up as flat combs. The teeth of one of the combs are received in hollows of the other comb with a spaced relation. The edge of the diaphragm is positioned in the space. Each section has diaphragm made up as Z-like belt which separates the space of the section into alternative spaces for moving the fluid to be separated and discharging permeate. The apparatus also has bearing rods secured at the ends of the comb teeth and frame with recess for supplying and discharging fluid to be separated. The recesses of frames of two adjacent lateral sections define slot-like passageway. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 4 dwg
