FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: membrane apparatus has housing, diffuser for feeding and converging tube for tapping the processed medium, connecting pipes and containers for placing semipermeable membranes alternating with substrates and gaskets. Each container is made in the form of parallelepiped with four blind lateral walls and latticed bottom. Membranes are made in the form of bent sleeves and are placed on container bottoms. Sleeve ends are fixed in container walls adjoining housing walls. Substrates are installed inside sleeves and are made in the form of bands of porous flexible material stitched with stiff thread and stretched along the whole length of sleeve. Connecting pipes for tapping the permeate and feeding the medium removing the permeate are communicated with sleeve cavities and are fixed in container walls adjoining the housing walls.
