FIELD: separating materials. SUBSTANCE: diaphragm apparatus has housing with comb-like walls, semi-penetrable diaphragms made up as bent belts defining spaces for fluid to be separated, bent plates for securing diaphragms in spaces of the combs, bearing rods mounted at the ends of the comb ridges, separating baffles mounted in the spaces, and end face covers.
